RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 2 cents per square inch for all computerized designs.
Example: A quilt top is 75 inches x 80 inches. 75 x 80 = 6000 x .02=$120
If you would like a very simple meander the fee is .017 and any custom quilting is 0.025.
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

Batting
I use and stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in the 70/30 cotton/poly blend select loft, 100% cotton, and in the 100% poly. I have limited quantities of wool batting and bamboo in stock, please ask for availability. I am also carrying a new batting Linda's blend of 60/40 cotton/poly produced by Hobbs.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + an 8" margin) and charge per inch.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 68" of the batting of your choice.
68" of 100% cotton select loft @ $0.40/in = $27.20
68" of 70/30 cotton/poly blend @ $0.33/in = $22.44
68" of 100% poly @ $0.26/in = $17.68
68" of Linda's blend @ 0.30/in =20.44
Thread
I stock Superior Threads; Omni (#50 weight) and some King Tut (#40) threads. I charge $3 per bobbin as it is a good gauge how dense the quilting pattern is and the time involved.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.
Binding services
I also offer binding services. Attaching the binding to the back of the quilt and then top stitching it to the front is 0.25 per liner inch. For example the 70" x 80" quilt would total 300" x 0.25 would equal $75.
Backing
When providing your backing please add at minimum 8" around the quilt, if possible 10" is preferred due to how we load the quilt. If you don't feel like making your backing but have the fabric, I charge $10 per seam.
Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Minnesota, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $100 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.
Other costs/taxes
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. I'm required by the State of Minnesota to collect a 6.875% sales tax on the quilting and batting.
